Formed in 1909 as "constructors of aeroplanes and accessories", probably the first aircraft manufacturer in Great Britain.

Absorbed into Hawker Siddeley Aircraft Co., Ltd. in 1935 along with Hawker Aircraft Ltd., Sir W.G. Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft, Ltd. and Armstrong Siddeley Motors, Ltd.

1936 - 652A Anson (twin-engine, light-transport/advanced trainer)

1940 - Manchester (twin-engine, heavy bomber)

1942 - 682 Lancaster (four-engine, heavy bomber)

1945? - Lancastrian (four-engine, long-range transport)
