Taking territory was the objective of Big Classic XI. The following members of the Sackett Squadron members flying, for the Allied forces, effected 19 triggers capturing 13 of them successfully while also downing 56 enemy planes. Two members of the KOSHIN squadron, flying for the Axis side in the Big Classic XI effected sixteen triggers with 4 captures and downed 26 planes. In recognition of their efforts to move mud and win the event, HQ awards KOSHIN_BENTEN^CO and KOSHIN_kamurogi^WCO the Air Mission Excellence ribbon.

August 2009

The following members of the HELL CATZ Squadron worked as a fine-tuned unit to obtain their objective to take and hold enemy territory during the Big Classic X event. Their air-to-air and air-to-ground expertise was a thorn in the side of the Axis offensive by achieving 9 triggers with 7 captures after destroying 125 buildings while destroying 15 enemy planes. For this action they are awarded the Air Mission Excellence ribbon.

The AH Squad were tasked with sending formations of bombers to attack Axis targets on the mainland during the Abbeville Boys event. They were highly successful in their endeavor as evidenced by their total destroyed building count of 141. This total led all Allied squads for the event and for their actions and perseverance, Allied Command Staff are proud to present to them the Air Mission Excellence ribbon. Pilots eligible are:

Two other squads that performed particularly well against the enemy during the Milne Bay event were the LTD and BANZAI Squads. Three groups were tasked with knocking out enemy tank factories and ensuring that they remained down during the Summer In Sicily event. The AH flying in the US zone and the 3rd Squad and NNS Squadron flying for the GB zone all initially took down their targets and helped keep the battle on the ground headed in the Allies' favor. In addition, these 3 squads amassed a total of over 400 enemy aircraft destroyed and numerous others damaged. LTD Squad scrambled 11 pilots from Henderson Field during the Guadalcanal Landings battle and were tasked with keeping the area east of Santa Isabel clear of tanks and to maintain damage on the 3 scenes there. Flying an assortment of Avengers and Wildcats, they were able to accomplish this. They finished the battle leading all groups in tanks destroyed and also brought 77 buildings down in ruins. Aerial combat brought them many kills and assists and their totals netted the group 7.5 kills per pilot and over a 2:1 kill/lost plane tally. These efforts helped stall the Japanese war machine and prevent them from establishing bases on that end of the island. It is with this in mind that we are pleased to award the following pilots the Air Mission Excellence ribbon: LTD_B_Mitchell, LTD_BERN1_, LTD_BLOK, LTD_cunuk, LTD_EJHAWK, LTD_knightrider, LTD_Omega, LTD_SQUISHIE_D, LTD_StanfordTuck, LTD_Trupr_CO, and LTD_Washout.

Five members of the illustrious Grim Reapers Raiders group threw themselves into the face of the enemy during the Convoy To Murmansk event, with the results being 64 Luftwaffe losses with a further 60 damaged by GRR's guns. 37 of the enemy destroyed were bombers intent on harming the convoy and for their outstanding achievements during the Murmansk mission, we are highly pleased to award them with the Air Mission Excellence ribbon. During the battle of the Marianas, Allied Forces destroyed more aircraft than the totals of both sides combined for 2 battles. Their guns sent over 1700 JP aircraft down in flames, and those packing ordnance destroyed over 140 ships. The unsung heroes, those who performed above the mark, they pushed harder, fought harder, and remained focused on their task. Their effort was exceptional and ensured Allies an overwhelming Victory. With 83 German aircraft meeting their demise trying to break through the flying wall of TWC during the Battle of Ortona, The Wrecking Crew tenaciously and effectively defended the area assigned to them. Squadron members eligible for the award are: TWC_Birdman, TWC_Crashwingman, TWC_Death_Raven, TWC_Egil, TWC_Foxnutz, TWC_hades_mutt, TWC_Joe, TWC_Retro, TWC_SLOW, TWC_SouthPhilly, TWC_Sparky, TWC_SPIN_ and TWC_THUNDER.

October 2007

Presenting a combined-arms type assault, JG7 destroyed 02 buildings, scored 51 kills, and damaged 49 additional enemy planes. Squadron members eligible for the award are: JG7_Captn_Crunch, JG7_DevilDog_CO, JG7_DRACHE, JG7_GRIM_REAPER, JG7_Gunee, JG7_HammerMan, JG7_HARRY1, JG7_Sassy_XO, JG7_Shadow, and JG7_Warface.

With an emphasis on bombing, JG51 destroyed 227 buildings and still managed to get 33 kills and to damage 26 enemy aircraft. Squad members eligible for the award are: JG51_Geist, JG51_Nevermiss, JG51_Pokie, JG51_Scrapman, JG51_Squirrel, JG51_Totentanz, and JG51_Xwifeh8r.
