Das_Borb_JG26 - For staying on the western sector trip wire, covering the key base at Finschafen by himself during the first half of the Lae battle, for flexibly shifting to the other side of the map to assist JG51 in defense of Salamaua when it became obvious that 95w was not threatened. During one fight he successfully used his Tony to bomb several tanks, then he shot down several enemy fighters and finally, when damaged he continued to tie down Allied fighter resources by dragging several pilots away from the action, forcing one to run out of fuel and crash land. He then returned his plane successfully to base despite having received damage, which caused the plane to be written off by his crew chief. Remounted in a new plane, he then continued to participate in our spirited and frenzied final defense of Lae.
