We encourage people to do this on a regualar basis for them selves and making CDs for friends is perfectly fine to do as well (the more the merrier.)

Personal Files

Please do not include the following files and directories if you send your CD to somone else.

  • Configs.cnf (also called speed dial)
  • joycalib.txt (only present if you calibrated in game)
  • KBD_Map
  • KBD_Fly
  • Newarenas
  • Messages.txt
  • quiet.txt
  • Film

Making the backup

  • Copy your entire Fighter Ace directory onto a CD-W or equivalent
  • Copy FAInstaller to the same CD-W
  • Burn the CD-W

Install procedure from backup

  • Copy from above CD-W onto your hard drive
  • Start FAInstaller from the CD-W
  • Make sure to specify or browse to the directory path used in step one when the installer asks for the install directory. Continue as normal after this.
