Excellence was also accomplished on many individual levels. Among the pilots achieving success in the skies around Henderson during the Guadalcanal Landings battle were representatives of the USMC, DW, Savage, TBH and GRR squads as well as several unaffiliated individuals. Allied Command would like to recognize the following pilots for their aerial prowess in the form of the Fighter Service ribbon:

USMC_TC_Simon (26 kills, 9 assists) found the P40 variants to be an adequate mount to knock the enemy from the sky. In a span of 1 minute he downed 2 KI61s and an A6M2.
DW_Sleepy001 (23 kills, 3 assists) had most of his kills in the nimble F4F Wildcat and downed one of the new KI61 Tonys and a Kate in rapid succession in one of his actions.
As the sole Savage squad representative, S_ME_4809_CO (18 kills, 10 assists) exclusively flew the Wildcat and found good success with it. One eyewitness reports him deftly maneuvering his plane against 2 Japanese Zeroes and downing both. His totals at the end of the event would result in a 9:1 kill rate.
Sword_Cutlass (17 kills,12 assists) primarily flew the P39 and P40 as an independent pilot. All of his kills came within a period of a little over 1 hour and he was seen downing multiple enemies on at least two different occasions.
GRR_SixPak_TO (17 kills, 3 assists) and GRR_morr62_XO (15 kills, 4 assists) fought valiantly and flew both bombers and fighters during the event. GRR_morr62_XO even managed to shoot down a Betty bomber with his Avenger.
FG_MackDog (16 kills, 6 assists) was the sole Demon Dog to take to the air and he represented the squad well. One eyewitness report has him downing a Zero and outmaneuvering another before also shooting down a twin engine bomber (presumably a G4M2). His pursuer soon found himself at the disadvantage and also fell to the FG's guns.
Rfdiii(15 kills, 6 assists) primarily flying the Wildcat as an independent pilot managed to repeatedly dive on two G4M2 Betty bombers. Braving withering return fire, he quickly sent both spiraling down in flames.
USMC_RS_DutchICE (15 kills, 5 assists) was another leatherneck who found success in the skies around Henderson. He flew the Wildcat and the Kittyhawk and it was in the latter that he downed 3 enemy fighters in rapid succession.
Buzzard_Yoda_ACO (14 kills, 12 assists) flew a variety of Allied fighters including the newly arrived twin-engine P38 Lightning. He achieved victories in all of them and led his group in doing so.

Kellymouse obtained 4 aces in aerial kills during the Guadalcanal Landings battle, proving he has the right to wear the Fighter Service ribbon.
