English translation is Kawanishi Aircraft Co., Ltd.

Japanese aircraft manufacturer during World War II.

Kawanishi Engineering Works began producing seaplanes in 1921 and was absorbed by Kawanishi Kukui K.K. in 1928. The company only manufactured airframes and did so exclusively for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN).

The company had three airframe production plants at Naruo near Osaka, Konan between Osaka and Kobe, and Himeji, 40 miles northwest of Kobe. An aircraft components factory was located at Takaruzaka, six miles north of the Naruo factory.

1934 - Kawanishi E7K Navy Type 94 Reconnaissance Seaplane (single-engine, three-seat, reconnaissance, float-plane)

1937 - Kawanishi H6K Navy Type 97 Flying-Boat (four-engine, long-range, reconnaissance / transport, flying-boat)

1942 - Kawanishi H8K Navy Type 2 Flying-Boat (four-engine, long-range, reconnaissance / transport, flying-boat)

1943 - Kawanishi E15K Navy High-Speed Reconnaissance Seaplane Shiun (single-engine, two-seat, high-speed reconnaissance, float-plane)

1943 - Kawanishi N1K Navy Fighter Seaplane Kyofu (single-engine, float-plane, fighter)

1943 - Kawanishi N1K1-J and N1K2-J Shiden Interceptor Fighter (single-engine, interceptor / fighter-bomber)
