German aircraft manufacturer during World War II.

The Bayerische Rumpler Werke of Augsburg produced military aircraft during World War I. After the war it was acquired by Udet Flugzeugbau G.m.b.H. and in 1926 was reformed as Bayerische Flugzeuge Werke A.G.. Due to financial difficulties, the firm was placed under control of the Messerschmitt Flugzeugbau G.m.b.H. of Bamburg, which was formed for that purpose. In 1938 the company was reconstituted as Messerschmitt A.G. All aicraft designs before that date have the Bf (Bayerische Flugzeugwerke) prefix, after that date the Me (Messerschmitt) prefix was used.

1938 - Bf 110 Zerstörer (twin-engine, two-seat, heavy-fighter / fighter-bomber / night-fighter)

1940 - Me 210 (twin-engine, two-seat, heavy-fighter / fighter-bomber)

1941? - Me 321 Gigante (large transport glider)

1942 - Me 410 Hornisse (twin-engine, two-seat, heavy-fighter)

1942 - Me 323 Gigante (six-engine, large transport powered-glider)

1944 - Me 262 Schwalbe (twin-engine, jet-propelled, single-seat interceptor / two-seat night-fighter)

1944 - Me 163 Komet (single-engine, rocket-propelled, interceptor)
