US aircraft manufacturer during World War II.

North American was incorporated in Delaware in 1938 and was engaged solely in the production of military types since 1934.

Manufacturing facilities were established in Inglewood, California at the Los Angeles Municipal Airport in 1935. An additional manufacturing plant was opened in Dallas, Texas in 1941. An aircraft production plant in Kansas City was owned by the US Government and operated by North American from December 1941.

1939 - North American AT-6 Texan / Harvard (single-engine, two-seat, advanced trainer)

1941 - North American P-51 Mustang (single-engine, interceptor / dive-bomber / photo reconnaissance / fighter-bomber)

1941 - North American B-25 Mitchell (twin-engine, photo reconnaissance / medium-bomber)

1949 - North American F-86 Sabre (single-engine, jet-powered fighter / all-weather interceptor / fighter-bomber / photo reconnaissance / nuclear bomber)
