English translation is Tachikawa Aeroplane Co., Ltd.

Japanese aircraft manufacturer during World War II.

The company was founded in 1924 with a factory at Tachikawa. New factories were added during the war at Okayama in southern Honshu (1942) and Kofu (1944). Tachikawa produced about 9% of all Japanese aircraft during the war.

1941 - Tachikawa Ki-54 Army Type 1 Transport (twin-engine, crew-trainer / light-transport / ani-submarine patrol-bomber)
