Defending against the onslaught of enemy tanks produced by multiple triggers during the Big Classic V battle was the task of many pilots. The following pilots are awarded the Tankbuster ribbon for destroying numerous enemy tanks:

January 2008

DW_Southpaw is without a doubt the bane of Axis armor. His skill in the TU-2, enabled him to repeatedly weave through an onslaught of enemy fighters, and wipe out entire tank colums just seconds from the field he was defending. In recognition of his achievements during the Storming Novgorod battle, DW_Southpaw has earned the right to wear the Tank Buster ribbon.

December 2007

Defensive ops were the order of the day for the Big Classic IV event where to seek and destroy the numerous tanks were the mission for several undaunted pilots. The following pilots are awarded the Tankbuster ribbon for destroying numerous enemy tanks:

56th_Aurora_AK who destroyed 36 tanks flying for GE.

56th_WaterBUG who destroyed 43 tanks flying for GE

LUFT30_Polecat who destroyed 21 tanks flying for GE.

SDG_NekoNabe who destroyed 61 tanks flying for SU.

SparkyBlue who destroyed 22 tanks flying for GB.

VAC_Tigerpaws who destroyed 26 tanks flying for GB.

XIII_Aenema_TO who destroyed 20 tanks flying for GE.

XIII_Eulogy_CO who destroyed 18 tanks flying for GE.

October 2007

ButchtheBlade - For destroying 36 tanks during the Classic Showdown I battle.

June 2007

_RedBull - During the latter half of the Stalingrad battle _RedBull repeatedly attacked the German tank columns. He always seemed to approach from a different and unexpected location. He was able to frequently evade the covering pilots and took out several tanks on each pass he made. His flying was exceptional and his aim accurate, resulting in 51 tanks left as smoking hulks in his wake.

GRR_Xtreme_XO - During the Stalingrad battle GRR_Xtreme_XO was relentless in his attacks on the German tank columns, single-handedly destroying several entire columns of Panthers. His efforts resulted in 52 confirmed tank kills and was instrumental to the Allied victory.

DW_SouthPaw - Undaunted by waves of defending fighters, DW_SouthPaw pushed through his attacks on the German armored columns during the Stalingrad battle. Using a combination of bombs, rockets and cannon, "Lefty" converted 61 of Germany's finest tanks into steaming heaps of scrap metal, the most of any pilot during the battle.

JG51_Pokie - For his performance during the Barbarossa event, when there were two instances where SU tanks were literally seconds away from splitting into attack formation to capture an Axis base, only to be thwarted by a string of bombs miraculously dropped in time to prevent it. As observed by AXCO_Cavefox, "If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it! Pokie just creamed an entire line of tanks with that drop! Holy $#%&!".

HC_Marshall - For his performance during the Barbarossa event, when there were two instances where SU tanks were literally seconds away from splitting into attack formation to capture an Axis base, only to be thwarted by a string of bombs miraculously dropped in time to prevent it. As observed by LUFT20_Clove, "HC Marshall that killed a line of tanks by himself. Most impressive string of bombs I've seen in awhile. I think the Tank Buster Ribbon would be most appropriate."

December 2006

Buzzard_Shoot_MA - For dedication to duty during the Barbarossa event, while flying unescorted against a large force of GE defenders and for getting through and bombing tanks heading to SU airfields.

AH_Gibber - For exceptional performance in destroying enemy tank columns during the Barbarossa event.

_HC_VONRUF - For successfully clearing out armored defenses at nearly every scene taken by the Hellcatz during the Barbarossa event, for upholding the tradition of the Hellcatz by sowing destruction on enemy tanks.

November 2006

HC_enigma - For meritorious service in destroying advancing Allied tank columns during the Paris In October event.

HC_wo_IMPALA - For meritorious service in destroying advancing Allied tank columns during the Paris In October event.

JG51_Totentanz - For meritorious service in destroying advancing Allied tank columns during the Paris In October event.

JG51_Jaeger_Fam - For meritorious service in destroying advancing Allied tank columns during the Paris In October event.
