US aircraft manufacturer during World War II.

The company was officially formed in March, 1943 when the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation was merged with Vultee Aircraft, Inc. The merger was a takeover by Vultee, which acquired 34% of common stock in Consolidate in December, 1941. From January, 1942 onwards, the management of the two companies were closely linked.



Production Aircraft

1936 - Consolidated PBY Catalina (twin-engine, amphibian, flying-boat, patrol-bomber)

1938 - Consolidate PB2Y Coronado (four-engine, flying-boat, patrol-bomber / transport)

1939 - Vultee Valiant (single-engine, two-seat, basic-trainer)

1940? - Vultee Vengeance (single-engine, two-seat, dive-bomber)

1940 - Vultee Vanguard (single-engine, interceptor)

1940 - Consolidate B-24 Liberator (four-engine, heavy-bomber / transport / patrol-bomber)

1943 - Consolidate PB4Y Privateer (four-engine, heavy-bomber / patrol-bomber)
