USMC Leathernecks

"Smack 'em Down!"

Since its inception October 16th, 1999, USMC Leathernecks is recognized as one of Fighter Ace's most respected and formidable squadrons. The squadrons we represent, VMF-223, VMF-212 and VMSB-232, were the first to land on the newly captured Japanese airfield on Guadalcanal in August of 1942. The airfield was a strip of dirt, christened "Henderson Field", and the "Cactus Air Force" was born. While these Marine squadrons were later reinforced by Navy and Army squadrons, the Marines were the stars of this pivotal battle that played a huge part in our winning the war in the Pacific.

USMC Leathernecks are a realistic oriented squadron who take pride in participating in many Fighter Ace arenas, including historical events, campaigns and all FAVG sponsored events. USMC is also established as perennial realistic KOTS (Kings of the Skies) champions and regular MKOTS (Melee Kings of the Skies) winners.
